I think the LDS had trouble with the names with als - Margaret Looney als Kelvie - etc.
when I transcribed these I always put als - which comes up as Als - so you have to read the surnames both ways - Margaret Looney als Kelvie - Margaret Kelvie als Looney.
I also transcribed one that I marked - OTHER - this was Confirmations - it was sent (I think) as Baptisms, you had the choice of making - Baptism, Marriage, Burial, or if it wasn't any of those, then you had the option of choosing - OTHER
my thoughts at the time were to make it other - as there was valuable information that would be lost if it wasn't recorded. (from memory - I think there are Confirmations on A Manx Notebook website or on the CD)
they are still loading on data, Ramsey isn't there yet or Braddan Burials.
The Golden Rule is - always check the original document or Parish Register.
