This isn't my John. My John married Elizabeth Kneale in Maughold on 20 Dec 1845 in the presence of M. Summers, John Corkill & Thomas Fargher, No mention of family but I note that all three names are associated with Ballafayle. I've not been able to identify him via census records prior to 1861 where he is listed with his wife Elizabeth and four children Ann, William, Edward and George. I see Sue has a different record to FMP: John & Elizabeth with six children: Elinor, John Robert, William Henry, Edward John, George John and Christian. I was aware of Elinor (who married Joseph Senogles) but not John Robert.
