There's a whole batch of entries which Ancestry gives as "Jun Q 1915, Chorlton, Lancashire, 8c 769" which, when you look them up (by laborious browsing) in the scanned images of the actual pages of the official birth index, turn out not to exist.
Can anybody suggest why ?
