I'm baffled, too !

I've used the browse version of searching the Jun Q 1915 birth index, in order to find the mother's maiden name, and there's no Richard Nightingale Banks listed under Banks or Nightingale.

So where did Ancestry find the info which generated the entry I copied and pasted into the last message ?

There has to be a logical answer to this.
