I think Admin have got their hands full at the moment with the new setup, so they may not want to think about limiting access to personal profiles. It might be easier to have general suggestions for new members at the time of registration, including that they put their email addresses under their profile, but using "[at]" for "@"? Or alternatively give a website which contains their contact details?

They might agree to add this suggestion to what is currently at the top of "My Profile" which is: The information you input below will be accessible from your messages posted on the forum. You can edit your profile as often as you like. Once you've created a profile, no one else will be able to post under your name.
