Mary Jane Ashe, my g grandmother married Thomas Thacker (a clergyman) in 1867 in Birkenhead. Sarah Adah and James were witnesses. On the certficate under 'Father's name' it says 'Jane Ashe' and 'Profession of father' - 'Student of Theoology'. Presume that was a mix up.

They lived in Tunstall and Birkenhead and then London. She was in Bethnal Green working at Bonner Road Children's Home in 1881 where my g father was born. She died in 1888 in Islington aged 37.
