Hello Sue,
Thank you for your insights, referencing this matter. Unfortunately, a lot of the official PA County records didn't start being kept until later. I contacted a lot of Presbyterian churches but no real success with them, thus far. Ministers took their records with them. It's very possible that Edward Kelley was simply buried on their farm, with a wooden marker, which no longer exists, etc. The best record I've come up with so far is a 'Bill of Sale/Quit Claim' when the family sold the farm after his death. This is where I learned of all the living children's names, which I had not known fully previously.
I realize that we must pursue this further through the appropriate local county offices in PA. However, those I have contacted, together with historical societies, etc. have not proved very useful either. After 35 years of working on the family tree, I was just hoping to stumble across yet another distant relative with further expanded lineage information. These very welcome genealogy electronic links have provided many such helpful discoveries by previously unknown family members prior to this. Thank you very much for your assistance, Sue.
Kind regards,
Ken Kelly kenkelly_98pa@live.com
