Dear Edward,
I do not know very much about Esther Gelling Craine except that she was married to my ancestor Thomas Craine who was a master of navigation in instruction and teaching. He was from the Douglas area and they had Mary Ann, Ann, Jane, Thomas, John all from 1799-1807 in Ballaugh according to Donna Douglass who sent me this interesting information. They moved to The USA in 1842.
I know that Thomas' father Commander Thomas Craine who served Edward Gelling (1776-1851) according to the Manx Worthies 1901. I didn't know if Edward was any relation to Esther or not. Commander Thomas was married to Mary Ann Cowle.
