I guess the spellings of Demeza/Domeza aren't any worse than many of our Manx surnames. At least these are similar.
Really go nuts with those that are seemingly unlike ex: Boddaugh to Boyde(e), Mylvorrey to Morrison, etc.

I wish our ancestors had been more precise with spelling and I certainly wish they were more creative with first names.
Perhaps that would have made our lives TOO EASY
