Note the rental book had two columns - one for Rent (in pence) and the other for Hens (presumeably a hangover from the days when tenants paid in kind).
This book appears to have been in use until 1858 (though a book dated 1816 also exists)- some entries are extrememely confusing with many entries of form m1813 or o1813 etc - which, as for Lord's rent, presumeably mean that some deed passed through the court in May(or Oct) 1813. Not all such have been included here - #26 (Michael Street Properties) was 'littered' with such notes.
The Abbeyland properties in Peel comprise the area approximately bounded by Market Street, the Shore, Bridge Street and Michael Street.
