Fed via a leat from further up the Glass (shown far left flowing N-S) which is joined by the Sulby river that fed Ballacreetch just below Sir George's bridge(just off bottom lh corner) - leat continues to drive a carding mill. Now a ruin. |

Wm Corran For 4s 1½d and Edward Moore of Douglas for 10½d being three parts of a warter corn milne called Moller d: Corran compounded for in the year 1643 by Thomas Corran fine for the said three quarters was 10s one life in being so now to pay for these three parts 6s

this eighth share was sold onto Capt Paul Bridson along with Quayle's half share in the nearby Ballacreetch mill

A "Little Mill" in an early Manx context usually implies a horizontal mill - the 5s rent is consonant with such a mill - by mid 18th Century many of these mills had been modernised to use a larger vertical wheel capable of driving 2 pairs of stones.
