The mill is fed from a dam to the north fed from the Sulby river which runs through the Abbey lands and joins the the Glass below Sir George's Bridge just off plan, bottom left hand. There is a second Ballacreetch mill on tail race of Mwillin-y-Chorrin before it joins the river Glass. |

The 1704 Composition book has under Miln rent Ballacreetch Quiry for the 2s milne rent charged for an Abby Milne in their parish - this 2s actually is the Lords rent for the water supply to the Abbey rental of Mwillin-y-Chorrin.
