In 1861 father Thomas was a farmer of 10 acres in Cloughvane Rd Arbory, all the family b.Arbory.

It is odd that his wife was given as Ellen in 1951 because she appears to have been Margaret Moore (the elder children the same). Was recorded as Margaret in 1861. Unless there were other Costain children Thomas and John of the same age b.Arbory (aged 3 and 2 in 1851, and 13 and 12 in 1861, with father Thomas 32 and 42. And Ellen/Margaret 24 and 35).
