Hi Donna
I'm looking for a John Gelling b 1801, son of Robert Gelling and Ann Kelly who farmed at Ballagrawe, Marown. Robert died in 1835 and is buried at Old St Runius church. You kindly gave me his MI last year:

227
In memory of ROBERT GELLING of BALLA-GRAWE in this parish who departed this life the 5th day of September Anno Domini 1835 in the 60th year of his age
He lived much beloved by his family and friends and died greately lamented by all who knew his worth
Behold he taketh away who can hinder him who will say unto him what doest thou?
Job chap IX ver XII
*****************************
In 1835/6 John b 1801 was farming at Ballalough, Marown (adjacent to Ballagrawe) but I can't find him in the 1841 census. I'm wondering whether this might be his will:
GELLING, John 1841 Mar E 1 0106441
The problem is, there's no matching burial. However, there is this one (just before the 41 census), and I'm wondering whether there might have been a mis-transcription, 21 instead of 41.
GELLING, John 21 Mar 17 May 1841
Please would you see if there's an MI, Donna.
Thank you
Jean C
