In the name of God Amen. I William Corjeage of Ballionney in the parish
of KK Michael being sick and weak of body but of sound mind memory and
understanding do make this my last will and testament as follow - viz:
In the first place I commit my soul to God and body to Christian burial.
Secondly I leave to all cravers the sum of six pence each -
Thirdly I leave to my son John Corjeage the sum of ten shillings as
legacy -
Lastly I nominate ordain constitute and appoint my son William Corjeage
whole and sole executor of all the rest of my goods and effects, both
moveable and immoveable of what nature kind or denomination soever

foregoing paper writing purporting to be the last will and testament of
William Corjeag deceased having made oath on the Holy Evangelists that
said William Corjeage the Testator when of sound and disposing mind
memory and understanding duly signed and executed the same in their
presence as and for his last will and testament - William Corjeage the
executor therein named is therefore sworn well and truly to fulfil and
execute said will according to law - to pay all just debts legacies and
funeral expenses of said testator so far forth as the goods and effects
will extend and the law bind him and to return to the Episcopal Registry
a full true and perfect inventory of said goods and effects with an
acurate accoutn of his acts and proceedings, in the premises when
thereunto lawfully required and to these ends he hath given pledges
namely John Corjeag of Ballioney in sdthe parish of Michael and John
Corjeag of Brooghjairg in the parish of Ballaugh who have executed the

KKMichael who being in her declining state of health but of a sound mind
and memory at the making this will and testament and unwilling that any
dispute should arrive amongst her relations after her decease- Do make
her last will and testament in form and manner following:
First she committed her soul to God and her body to Christian burial.
Secondly - She leave and bequeath to her youngest son William Corjeag
now baker in Douglas my part or moriety of a meadow lately purchased
by my husband and me in the parish of KK Christ Lezayre knon(known) by
the name of Close Cablon and my said beloved husband are to enjoy and
reap the benefit of the said meadow as long as he liveth.
Thirdly I leave and bequeath to my aforesaid son William Corjeag the
sum of one hundred and twenty pounds British as legacy to be paid after
the decease of my husband.
4LY - I leave and bequeath to my eldest John Corjeag the sum of five
shillings as legacy.
Lastly I nominate and appoint my beloved husband whole and sole
executrix of all the rest of my goods chattles credits and effects
moveable and immoveable of what kind or denomination soever excluding
all other person or persons with six pence legacy this the fourteen of

Item - He left and bequeathed unto his son John Quirk the just sum of ten
pounds and all what sum of money that is due me from my son Richard
Quirk for his settlement and if in case my said son John happens to die
before the said sums of money be expended on him, the remainder of said
sums is to go to my four children vizt Richard, Eleanor Ann and Margaret
And Lastly - He constituted nominated and appointed his son Richard
Quirk his whole and sole executors of all the rest of his goods and
effects be they of what kind and denomination whatsoever this 13th of

March 15th 1809 William Knickel and Margt his wife enters a claim
against the estate of Richard Quirk the sum of 10 pounds 10 pence
British and craves the law.
Whereas my grandfather Richard Quirk of Rheaby Moor in the parish of
Patrick did by his last will and testament bearing date 13th of November
1807 amongst other bequests leave a legacy of ten pounds to me his
granddaughter Cathrine Clucas and whereas at a Chapter Court holden at
KK Patrick 23 Jun 1808 the said will was duly provide and probate
thereof granted to Richard Quirk his son the executor in said will named .
Know all men by these present that said William Radcliffe and Cathrine
Radcliffe alias Clucas my wife do hereby own and acknowledge to have
received from the said executor the late Richard Quirk of Rheaby the
aforesaid sum of ten pounds in full payment satisfaction and discharge
of the aforesaid legacy. And we do hereby exonerate release acquit and
discharge the said executor the late Richard Quirk of Rheaby his
executors and administrator the estate of the said deceadent and every
person whomsoever of and form all further claim or demand on account
of the aforesaid legacy and every part thereof and we do by these
presents desire that the said legacy be cancelled on the said William
record as unto us as our subscriptions this 5th Feby 1869.
