I don't know whether my family connections are of any interest.
My great grandfather was William Boyde from Ballaugh (1853-1899) - husband of Martha Louisa Quayle (1862-1947). I have traced our family tree back to William Boddaugh (Boyde) 1733-1790. A particularly sad part of our family history is the life of my great uncle, John James Boyde who served with the Australian Infantry and died during WW1. He is mentioned on a headstone in Ballaugh Churchyard, along with other members of the family.
