I couldn't find Robert Godsoe's death either. It may have been misspelled and so is on the index slightly misplaced. However, I tried the spell check feature to give more names but didn't get him. He could still be there, though.

I couldn't find him in 1851 or 1861 census either. He probably was a mariner like so many of his family, so could have been at sea. Perhaps he was lost at sea? I don't know what happens with death certs in that situation. I'd think his widow Amelia would need something in her hand before she could marry again, but I may be applying modern law to the 1860's.

Regarding finding burials, go to the Isle of Man Family History Site www.iomfhs.im , and review the list to the right of the Wheel. Hit "Research" and you'll find a number of different useful sites. Have fun.
