When William CALLOW, Ballromma Beg, Maughold, made out his will, he made provision for his unmarried daughter Margaret b 1848 and her child who was under the age of 14 in 1874.
"Subject nevertheless to the maintenance and
proper keeping of my daughter Margaret Callow and her present child the said
child to be provided for until she arrives by the age of fourteen years and the said Margaret Callow to be kept with proper meat and clothing during her natural life time she of course is to work and help her brother the said William Callow on the farm so long as her health permits..."
I have not been able to identify the name of the child or determine what happened to her. Can anyone assist ?
William married Ann CORKILL in 1836 and had 10 or more children between 1837 & 1859. The heir was James CALLOW b. 1852 who later farmed at Ballakey, Bride.
