If he was a member of the Society of Friends then his baptism would not I suspect be in the local church - there was no Friends Meeting house on the Island that I know of around the 1870's though there was one somewhat later in early 20th C. If his baptism was registered (which if his family was Quaker then I expect it would have been) it may well have been with an Irish meeting house.
