Hi there, I posted a while ago about my Great, Great Grandfather, James Carkin(b1871). It has always been said that he was a Quaker from the I.O.M, but this was never proved. Last night I looked at his entry on the 1911 census and indeed he is from the I.O.M! I would love to go back further and find out more about him and his family name, can anyone help me?
