quick check of UK NA seems to throw up nothing - nor does the IGI give any bapt of a Rose or Sophia in the period - the online accounts have him in 4th Royal Veterans which was a company of old servicemen due for retirement (The Island saw the 11th batt RV in period 1811 to their disbandment in 1814/5.)
