I am not imposing anything on anyone, but was emailed by the owner of the site to see if there was ways to improve the site. I have no problems with doing that and as mentioned in previous threads, I believe in being open and there's not a single person on this board case say otherwise, or if there is, then email me and we'll talk for many days or as long as it takes.
By all accounts, there is ways to improve it without any sparkly stuff which was highly amusingly misinterpreted by me, but it's the will of the board that it stays exactly as it is and any discussion to think or add new things/ideas to it without detracting from it's main core values has proved somewhat meaningless.
I presume that everyone is familiar with the tab Manx Notebook, but if we had this same discussion before the introduction of the tab, people wouldn't have been able to see it's valuable resources and for a click of the mouse, its there. Thats what I've been trying to explain, albeit unsuccessfully and you could have any new tab with a link of valuable information to hand whenever you wanted.

Mention has been made in a roundabout way, that people aren't as young as they once were and that they find it easier with a white background and black writing. Makes sense once people explained to me about growing er...more mature and its also easier to cut and paste without the addition of a picture or other item getting in its way. Like I said, makes sense now
It was a discussion, with views on improving things for you all and I do agree with Frances that looking back, I might be seen as rushing in (although not self appointed) new broom, but (to me) it does need tweaking and it looks like that chance has gone.
Never mind, life goes on and if it doesn't, we'll record it somewhere.
