Sylvia's suggestion for a "frequently asked questions" tab is an excellent one.

The subject of whether we need a background picture "to add sparkle" ( what a strange idea) is my main concern. I'm guessing that many of the regular users of this board are well into middle age and beyond, so I'd hate to see anything which detracts from the clarity of the wording of the messages. The current plain white background is perfect.

I'm also guessing that people who design websites tend to be from the youngish end of the age spectrum and have little concept of the eyesight difficulties faced by some older people----not just wearing the correct specs for the job, but also the problem of reduced contrast sensitivity caused by the ageing eye by, for example, developing cataracts.

So please, let's keep it plain white.
