John GELLING, Head Married 60 Shoemaker, b Isle of Man Santon
Ellen GELLING, Wife M 62, b Isle of Man Christ
Ellen GELLING, UM 34 DressMaker, b Isle of Man Christ
Edward GELLING, Son Unmd 26 Basket Maker, b Isle of Man Santon
Jane SCARFF, Niece 4 Scholar, b Isle of Man Douglas ["niece" s/b "grand-daughter"?]
I had looked at this family a bit when I was collecting all the Scarffe's earlier this year. Jane Scarff the "niece" age 4 is the illegitimate daughter bp 1846 of John SCARFFE (I think the son of Daniel S and Catharine KELLY bp 1809 Lonan) and Christian GELLING, both of whom can be found together at Ballanged-beg (?) Onchan in 1841, as M.S. and F.S. Christian is the daughter of John Gelling & Ellinor Corrin, bp 1817 and so is the sister of "Edmond Gellin".
I can't find Edward/Edmond in 1841 at all. I can't find any of the family in 1861, nor can I see obvious burials so am wondering if the entire lot of them moved to Texas.
