Hi to everyone on the Isle - David Bruce in Canada and I in Australia have been trying to sort out the Bruce family who arrived on the IOM around 1800 . There appears to be 5 adult families and they seem to have come from Alford , Aberdeenshire , in North Britain .
(My relations in Scotland would be horrified with that detail !!! ).
There appears to be a lot of moving to and from England between 1820 and 1900 mainly around Liverpool , Salford and London .

Between 1800 and 1820 there appears to be births missing from the IGI . The births that are listed are all in Malew and Andreas . As there are births with the same name , there is confusion about who belongs to who .

We feel the only way to sort it is to view church records , So our questions are - Is this possible ? How would you go about doing it ?
Are there any Bruces still on the Isle that may have researched their family ?
