Thanks for that information John, I am presuming this is my great great granfather, although I only have an area for the 1871 census, no address. The 1871 census is Lonan, district 4, schedule 143.

William, 28, is living with his wife Anne, 27, and children, Elizabeth J (my great grandmother), 5, Philip, 2, and Jessie, 9 months. I suppose without an MI or grave number I don't have much hope of locating William.
