Hi - The burial entry I wrote about in a previous message, as:
I couldn't find his burial in Maughold unless it was: "Danl CALLOW, 72. LOONEY was underlined with CALLOW written above. College St, Ramsey Oct 9 1862" was a quotation from Tom Corteen's transcripts from the original volumes in the Maughold Church.
I'm not surprised that whoever wrote the official copy (now on film) chose one name or the other. However this is how the entry appears in the original register.
