The Maughold parish register has:
Daniel Looney & Jane Crellin married 12 Mar 1840. Widower & widow.
Tom Corteen (whose transcripts these are) didn't usually record witnesses except for early ones who had a Corteen connection, but recorded all other details given.
The 1841 census looks like an enumerator's error: 3 5 16 Cardleveg, Maughold:
Daniel LOONEY 50 Ag lab Isle of Man
Margaret LOONEY 40 Isle of Man
Daniel LOONEY 12 Isle of Man
Matthew LOONEY 9 Isle of Man
Catharine LOONEY 7 Isle of Man
William LOONEY 5 Isle of Man
- Because they are still at Cardleveg in 1851 with Daniel 58 Master Joiner with wife Jane aged 50, son Matthew 18 Joiner Ap., Catherine 17 Employed at home, William 15 Scholar, and Philip Crellyn Stepson unm, 21, Journeyman Joiner, all b.Maughold.
Philip son of Philip Crellen & Jane Corkill bapt Maughold 6 March 1830.
Daniel probably son of John Looney & Margaret Hutchen Private baptism Maughold 21 Jun 1789.
I couldn't find his burial in Maughold unless it was:
"Danl CALLOW, 72. LOONEY was underlined with CALLOW written above. College St, Ramsey Oct 9 1862".
Jane LOONEY 83 yrs, Ballagorey Moar, Maughold, buried Maughold Oct 22 1882.
In the 1881 census, according to Familysearch, she is at Corony Hill aged 81 Joiner's widow, with her daughter Jane Crellin, 31 (sic). Jane daur of Philip Crellen & Jane Corkill bapt Parish Church 23 Nov 1828. Possibly a badly written aged 51.
