Thank you very much for your response. We looked at the 1881 Isle of Man census and found particulars about John Mylecraine (my great grandfather). He was married to a Susannah but where he got married we do not know. The lady in the Douglas Museum said he probably married in Liverpool as all their children were christened in St. Peter's Church Liverpool. They lived at 42 Cranmer St.
