Marg, I'm confused by your graveyard / burials requests for Skillicorn. In July you asked Liz to go to Braddan Churchyard to take a photo of the graves of Skillicorns who were recorded as buried in Lonan, and now you have asked Mary to look at Lonan records for the number of people in Skillicorn graves - when the two you asked about were buried in Braddan, according to Brian Lawson's website.
(You wrote: Robert Henry Skillicorn..... died June 6 1883 Lonan
Ethel May Skillicorn..... died May 11 1920 Lonan)
I have researched Skillicorn in Lonan, which is why I noticed these requests, and it hadn't occurred to me that someone could be recorded as buried in one place, but have a grave in another? Not a memorial inscription, when they could be buried elsewhere, but an actual grave?
Did this happen in the IoM?
Thanks,
Sue
