Re: William Kneale- Lonan
In Response To: Re: William Kneale- Lonan ()

Hi, It goes like this:
James Kneale m. Margaret Killop 1742 had son Wiiliam b. 1744 m. Ann Killip. Had son William amongst others b 1774 m. Anne Faragher 1806. Had sons William b. 1812 (Capt. of Lonan) & Joseph b. 1818. Joseph went to Liverpool and is buried in Anfield cemetery. Joseph had son William b.1844 m. Martha Ryley 1870. Had son William b.1871. William had son Geoffrey from 2nd marriage b. 1926. Geoffrey had me, Laurence b. 1962. Have gedcom if you wish. I too have been to the Rhaa and it is presently owned by the Kelly's who ironically sold it to the Kneale's back in the 1700's or 1800's. Don't know if it's the same Kelly's though. The mill in Laxey Glen Is Mullen Vettage. Mullen does indeed mean Mill, but have no idea what Vettage means - probably cottage. If I can be of any further help please contact me.
