David is a very unusual name for manx - in period 1720-1820 about 6/1000 (about 180 in some 30,000 male births) are named david; the name tends to run in families and also more likely to be given when there is a non manx spouse.

The other family names are decidedly non-manx - my guess is that said david was at least first generation American
