Hello anyone!

I am descended from Elizabeth Skillicorn who was born in 1831 and Thomas Cleator who was born in 1816. They were both born on the Isle of Man.

They moved to Liverpool, where they married, in June 1850 and are listed in the 1851 census together with their new born son, Thomas.

I seem to have reached an impasse and can't trace either Elizabeth's or Thomas's parents, on the Isle of Man.

Any ideas, help or comments would be most appreciated as I am very new to genealogy and don't really have the slightest clue what to do or where to look next!
