Thanks for the Family Bible data - wonderful that this has been handed down in the family.
As for Jane's date of death I have never found her burial, I only know that it was between January 1822 when Robert Arthur was baptised at St. Paul's, Ramsey, and October 1824 when William re-married to Rebeccah at Braddan. Looks like our Jane and yours are almost certainly the same. Marrying your deceased wife's sister was illegal - no doubt this is why they went to Kirk Braddan. I will search again for the burial of Jane - presumably Maughold or Lezayre.
We have Brian Lawson's index and the F.H.S. volunteers to thank for finding Maria's burial! All credit to them. No sign of Jane in index tho.
I did not know that there was an illegitimate son by Rebeccah before Jane died.
The reason I thought that this might be 'my' Jane's family was the use of the name Maria. My granny (b. 1884) remembered hearing about her great aunt 'Moriah' as they said it. Also visiting 'Auntie Chris' - Christian Corkill daughter of Wm & Rebeccah.
