Actually Eileen, I'm not related as such. John and Mary's daughter Margaret married my great-great-grandfather's half brother James Corris. I was just tracing this because Mary's sister Christian was living with them in 1881 which led me to find out about Margaret's parents which led me to the odd Maria Reid dilemma. I can't let a loose thread go hence the query on Maria Reid.

I have a photograph of James and Margaret Corris's gravestone (taken during a recent, and very brief, visit to the Island) which I will be putting online when I get my new webpage up and running.
