Hey Bruce,

Yes James is my great uncle, older brother of my maternal grand father. He was supposedly born in Glasgow according to the census records in 1901. As I said most of the men and even some of the women were given the name Marshall, in the girls cases obviously always as a second name.

James has another brother buried in DBC Frederick William Bridson. He died 1975 . Sister Frances May died in London in 1966 aged 60yrs. There was another Frances May who died aged 15 wks old 24 Sept 1896 buried @ Kirk Braddan, I think she was another sister but have not proved relationship as yet.

So far when I've found a Bridson with Marshall as a first or second name they are somehow related down from my 2xG grandparents William Bridson and Ellen Marshall married July 5 1863 @ Kirk Braddan.
