Hi Bruce, Thanks for that, I found the same when I looked on Saturday in Library at Peel. The IGI has John Hutchin as died 20 Nov 1841 so whether the John Hutchin in the 1851 census is another John Hutchin which would account for the age difference or the enumerator has made a mistake in which case the IGI is wrong. The 1861 Census with Jane Shimmin has her having had a child John J in 1859 and a son called Thomas in 1857 which I found in the register at the Peel Library with a date of30/11/1856.As for her age that would make her as being Eleanor Jane. As for the granddaughter Louisa Madrell I could find no trace of her as yet except that in a later census it showed a Louisa Madrell of the right age as being a servant with a family in Kirk Michael, but as yet I haven't found a record of her birth, will need to go to the registry and search there. With regard to Louisa Madrell if it was Eleanor Jane's child the mother would have been 20, if Amelia Anne then she would have been 15, the only other alternative is that it was a child of Williams out of wedlock and the child has its mothers surname!. Anyway I will keep looking to see if I can find any more , once again thanks for the help and information
