Having found a Thomas Shimmin, grandson , living with Ellen Hudgson ,g.mother, in Patrick in the 1861 census , does anyone have any information as to regards Ellen Hudgson and her family or of the grandson Thomas Shimmin born in 1859. Up to now I can find no birth record for him so any help would be appreciated. I have found a Jane Hudgson who married a Thomas Shimmin in 1856 and a daughter born 1873 to them , also that they lived on south quay Douglas. It is however the Thomas Shimmin born 1859 that I am interested in.
