Thanks for the offer of help Brian - Thanks to Brian Lawson's BMD I have found many gems re connections to Albert and his first marriage - the second marriage to my grandmother Anastasia Milne which produced my Dad and uncles I have more knowledge of but I am trying to find out where Albert and Anastasia lived when they married - I think it must have been Ramsey as both my uncles were born there - 1st in Alexandra Hotel Ramsey two years after their marriage 1909 and 2nd Strand Street Ramsey in 1911 and then my Dad and other sons were born in Liverpool. The witnesses on the marriage cert were Albert's sister Annie and her husband Fred Quine and I am wondering if the address Anastasia gave was their home i.e. 9 Christian Road Douglas - they did run a boarding house around Bucks Road ( they only married the year before in 1906) and this is near to there - later they had the Seaforth House Hotel on the front on Loch Promenade. I guess an electoral register would give details of occupants at Christian Road?? How would I get to look at these? I do feel however that after the marriage Anastasia and Albert may have stayed in Douglas until the coast was clear to go back to Ramsey as there was a bit of "upset" because of my grandmother's association with my grandfather and possible pregnancy but officially their first child was born well into the marriage - if she was "with child" at the time of the marriage Annie Quine would have had sympathy and perhaps taken her in as she herself had been a very young unmarried mother! It would be interesting therefore to find the occupants of the address if that were possible.
