The 1881 census shows Nellie born in America the IGI shows where.

There was a family in Lezayre with names including Daniel, Thomas, Elizabeth and Alice Crye. I wonder if it is this Thomas who married Elizabeth Kneen. Daniel went to Liverpool followed by Elizabeth.

Other than speculation I can't help any further.
