Re: Burnett Family
In Response To: Re: Burnett Family ()

David,

In previous conversations my dad recalled he stayed with Helen Cantwell at
26 Elmdale Road, Fazakerly in around 1920.

He attended a school called St Johns close to Aintree Racecource.

I am seeing him later this week and will mention Joseph, William and James to him. He is not very well so I hope this cheers him up!

Jessie B Burnett and following her death Catherine E Burnett lived with David Parr at 100 Magazine Lane, New Brighton according to my dad also.

Do you think that Jessie's second name was the Bella you refer to?

As you say the 1881 census shows Jessie at 4 years old and the 1901 census shows her as 24 so it must of been April 1876 that John James (Jack) set off for Japan. I would guess that the Marine Birth entry I found in 1879 is them registering Jessie back here in the British Isles upon returning from Japan. I will let you know if I find anymore.

How did you know the exact birthdate for Jessie again?
