It is possible that Cheryl does have Manx blood but the phrase 'Isle of Man' has been used figuratively - Richard Bernard's "The Isle of Man or the Legal Proceedings in Manshire against Sin" went through several editions around 1631 and was reprinted in 1803 (my edition) and possibly later - it is an allegorical Puritan devotional book (same idea as Bunyan but not as well done tho it predates Pilgrim's Progress).
