Thank you Frances. What would we all do without you and Brian Lawson. I have always preferred the interpretation you give about Jane Taubman. However, there is a difficulty in that in the German Burial Register she is shown as d.Feb 2nd 1750. According to the scribe the year 1751 seemed to begin on March 31st.with the first entry on April 1st.1751 ! Jane's baptismal date is shown in that register as December 9th 1750. This patently impossible. I have always held that she died at 2 months. Indeed three of her parents' six children died in infancy.This research was done in 1997, and my copies have faded but this is still what they show!
