Hi,Pam here. No, my married name is Allen and my husband is from Middlesbrough. MY grandparents were Gellings, who lived in Milner Terrace, Castletown. My grandad was a verger at St Marys. My mother is Joan Brown (nee Gelling), who is married to Tommy Brown and lives in Scotland. Her sister is Eileen Fowles (nee Gelling) and is widowed and lives in Liverpool. I had MANY happy holidays in Castletown and it is like coming home. I cant see the Allens of Middlesbrough (who are a family of Dockworkers) having much connection with the Island. (Sorry!).
