Pam, are you connected with the Allens who were early Protestant vicars of Maughold? One of their descendants, Thomas Allen of Ballavarry, Andreas, married Jane Taubman, Ballacrosha, Ballaugh in about the 1830s. Their son Thomas Allen was a partner in the Ramsey grocers' shop, Allen and Taubman.
