Frances, you’re right about the Wm and Cath Taggart on Muckles Gate in 1841 being the wrong Wm Taggart. Cath was nee Quine (m 1816 Braddan). I found Wm’s will (Douglas 1847 A 15 106251, images 581 to 589 on familysearch) which dragged on for about 20 years.
