Re: William Taggart/Isabel Christian

Hello, Thanks for the responses. Working backwards, my Gt x2 Grandmother was Isabella Taggart, baptised whitehaven 23 Sept 1832. married to Francis Eady July 30th 1865. Her Father stated as John Taggart, Sailor. John was married to Isabella (nee Waddle) I believe 10th June 1832 at St Marks Church, Dublin.
A son, James drowned on the Schooner Dusty Miller entering Dublin harbour April 27th 1859.
The family lived in Whitehaven, Isabella Waddle plus 2 daughters and son in law William Robinson, ending up in Landis New Jersey. John died age 71 on 2nd Dec 1874 in Whitehaven. Census 1851 shows John age 42, Seaman, Whitehaven. Northampton Council Family History dept put his Baptism at 23 Feb 1803 IOM, and being the son of William Taggart and Isabel Christian. It is also possible John married Isabella's sister prior to her, as there is a record of John Taggart marriage to Ann Waddle (or Waddel) on 6th May 1826, but she died, and was buried 11 jun 1827 in Whitehaven.
