Most of the Ancestry trees which relate to your James Radcliffe give him a specific date of birth---either 10th Oct 1843 Lezayre or 10th Oct 1845 Lezayre.

Apart from the “age 37” which James himself gave at the 1880 census and the “age 43 in May 1886” which his relatives gave when registering his death, is there any other document (official or family artefact eg family bible) which gives an actual date ? If not, I’d ignore the 10th October 43/45 because it was based on a false assumption.
