I arrived at William Christian by back-tracing through known relatives, i.e., Grandfather George Henry b.1895, Great-grandfather (also) George Henry b.1865, 2xGGF James b.1838, and 3xGGF William b.1798. While 1861 census shows Wm's birthplace as Onchan, 1851 and 1841 censuses show birthplace Castletown. I do not have a birth or baptismal certificate for William, so no direct reference to his parents, although Danil and Isobel Christian of Castletown were cited as baptizing a child named William per Index listing "Ancestry.com.
