John senr = child of Henry + Alice (look at Alice Gawn's will summarised on www.manxnotebook.com)
John married Christian Clark in 1755, she d 1792 (see her will summary) son John m with fa's consent (ie he was under 21) to Isabella Karran/Carran -
after this I get confused as there are as I said 3 marriages of widower John Clinton in period for which I know of 2 - John senr + Junr - one to Joney Quay has witness Patk Karran so I guess this is John Junr
There is a death in Patk burial reg (a section missed from the IoMFHSoc transcription of John Clinton of Ballacallin in Apr 1797 - no will for him (maybe a page of the Patk burial reg is wrongly inserted in date as I have no idea of where the 3rd John Clinton came from - there are two wills/decrees for John Clinton's
1811 - declared 6 jan 1811;glenmoii;wife elizth exex;gson wm clinton

and
1819: d 3 Mar 1819;ch John, Patk, Robt, Anne, Wm;wife Joney als Quay exex[joney 2nd wife m Pat 17930209, 1st wife Isabel carran Pat 17811123 ; son-i-law John Skinner [m Isabella Skinner Pat 18110514]
whch I assumed was John Junr

one of the marriages in 1793 was to an Esther Karran - there is a will 1845 of an Esther Clinton in Patk who was buried age 40 in 1845 wch I havn't seen but name suggests she is dau of a John + the Esther m in 1793

catch is the property passed on by Alice Gawn is Barony land and not easily traceable as Barony records are hit + miss with more misses than hits!
